JAZZ THE FIRST DAYS TOUR
New Orleans is the birthplace of Jazz. Home to Louis Armstrong, Buddy Bolden, Jelly Roll Morton, "Papa" Jack Laine, Sidney Bechet, Eddie Edwards, Lizzie Miles, Nick La Rocca, Sharkey Bonano just to name a few. . .
"Jazz the First Days" tour will rekindle for you the spirit of the great Jazz makers of New Orleans, from the dawn of the 19th century to the present day. You will learn the true stories of the great Jazz makers, their triumphs and tragedies. You'll be guided through the historical NOLA Jazz Art Gallery and visit the sites where Jazz, champagne, and romance reigned supreme.
The "Jazz the First Days" Tour is an effort to assist with the restoration of the 52pc photographic exhibit, which was damaged during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and support Jazz education programs throughout America.

FREE PEOPLE OF COLOR TOUR
In Nouvelle Orleans, 80% of the "Gens de Coleur Libres" were well-educated property owners, inventors, writers, poets, artists, and activists.
From the dawn of the Louisiana Colony to the historic Orleans Ball Room and beyond, the contributions of Free People of Color have been central to the development of Nouvelle Orleans.
Join me as we explore the history and experience the living legacy of the "Gens de Coleur Libres".

GARDEN DISTRICT TOUR
Originally a close network of several plantations, the Garden District became part of the city of Lafayette in 1833, and annexed to the city of New Orleans shortly before the Civil War.
Known for it’s preservation of Southern Antebellum architecture, the Garden District bounded by St. Charles Ave. Toledano St., Magazine Ave, and Louisiana Ave. is on the Historic districts on the National Register of Historic Places in Louisiana.
Join me and explore the wealthy American roots of 19th century New Orleans architecture and gardens.

EVERGREEN PLANTATION TOUR
Just 30 miles north of New Orleans, for well over 250 years lies what initially began as a modest Creole Farm House and became one of the oldest Greek revival plantations in the South.
Although Evergreen Plantation has received many awards and recognition for its dedication and commitment to historical preservation it has also served as the backdrop to many award winning Hollywood films.
However, Evergreen Plantation commitment to historical preservation extends far beyond the structures nestled along the rivers edge surrounded moss draped oak trees. It also extends to the preservation of the culture of the people of St. John the Baptist Parish who worked the land and their descendants.

6 hour: $75.00 per person
Any cancellation by the client must be initiated by telephone to the Tours by NOLA office at 678-427-8831 OR by email to rparson.toursbynola@gmail.com. We will acknowledge your cancellation by email.
Tours by NOLA may cancel a tour due to weather or other circumstance. In the event that the Tour by NOLA cancels the tour, you may choose between a rescheduling of the tour, a full refund of all monies paid OR a credit towards an alternative tour the difference in the cost of the alternative tour will be refunded or paid by you as applicable.
